The Scientific Programme for RCOG 2012 is well underway. This Congress promises an intellectual discourse and the opportunity to hear what is current across the spectrum of our speciality and to network with acknowledged experts in this field. The list of confirmed Plenary speakers already reads like a Who’s Who of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and we will endeavour to include other regional experts in due course.

Given the increasing complexity of the landscape in our speciality, we intend RCOG 2012 to, in the words of our President, “educate, update and excite”. Apart from the Plenary Lectures, we have also included Symposia and Controversies to enhance audience participation. Topics will cover maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive medicine, gynaecological oncology, urogynaecology, benign/operative gynaecology, ethics, litigation as well as international educational initiatives and global women’s health.

Pre-congress workshops will address issues as diverse as “Advanced Laparoscopy/Robotics” to “How to Get Your Paper Published” while not neglecting the importance of “Contraception” and “Managing Obstetrical Emergencies”.

We invite you and your colleagues to attend and share your knowledge, experience, novel ideas and technologies with your peers from around the world.
