Turtle Watch (1230 hrs – 1230 hrs

Transfer from hotel to boat jetty. Boat ride will take approximately 40 minutes to Satang Island. Upon arrival at island, check-in to island huts. Accommodation at its most simple manner where electricity is powered by a diesel generator and water collected in water tanks from rain showers. Swim or snorkel from shore around island reef. Dinner will be served at sunset.
Rest and relax for the night while we wait patiently for the turtles to come ashore to lay eggs. Turtle landings are uncertain. Most turtle landings occur when the tide is at its highest. As sea turtles are wild, sightings are not assured however we experience a high chance of turtle sightings at this particular island.
Breakfast served on the following day. Swim, snorkel and relax on island beach before we depart back to Kuching via the same route.
